There are about 47 devices that are billed to receive the MIUI 12, with the 2019 Mi and Redmi flagship devices getting these updates by end of June. There is no confirmation yet regarding when the Mi 10 series will receive the global update, but our best guess is it’s not happening this month.
This update is not particularly heavy, coming in at 820MB, and pushes the devices to the MIUI v12.0.1.0. It arrives with a number of features like new animations (including Super Wallpaper), new navigation gestures, an improved dark mode, privacy controls, the AI calling feature and more. For power users who have an unlocked bootloader, they can install the MIUI 12 China Stable ROM on their Mi 10 or Mi 10 Pro through custom recoveries, granting them access to the update. With the MIUI 12 Stable Beta made available for the Xiaomi Mi 9T just a week ago, it will be interesting to see what other improvements this update brings for the Mi 10 devices. References
